Tutorials and mentoring programs are an important and integral part of teaching. They serve to accompany and consolidate the subject matter taught in lectures and exercises and to support students' independent study within the framework of subject tutorials, first-semester tutorials, learning tutorials or mentoring programmes.
The ZQS/Key Competencies department offers advice and support for the development of training concepts and runs the training courses themselves.
- Training mathematics tutors (in collaboration with the Centre for Higher Mathematics Education); basic training course plus three in-depth units in the course of the semester.
- Training tutors for the group exercises Engineering Mechanics in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering ( Institute of Dynamics and Vibration Research, IDS).
- Training for leaders of student orientation groups in the Faculty of Economics and Management.
- Training for study tutors in the Faculty of Law: basic training and consolidation unit.
- Training mentors within the context of a mentoring programme run by the University International Office (HI).
