Key competencies are taught differently, depending on the course. If key competences are taught integratively in a course along with the subject matter, no credit points are required. However, if a key competencies module is specified in the examination regulations, credit points must be earned in a corresponding course in that department or in another institution at the Leibniz University Hannover.
Offers ZQS/Key Competencies
As a central point of contact, the ZQS/Key Competencies offers students numerous seminars each semester to acquire credit points for key competencies modules.
In the following, you can find an overview of the courses we offer as well as information on the recognition of credit points in the various courses. If you have any questions, please contact us.
ZQS/Key Competencies courses that earn credit points
Questions on the recognition of key competencies courses are generally decided by the degree programmes and examination boards. This applies to courses at the Leibniz University Hannover as well as to any credits earned externally, which are to be accredited. Please contact your degree programme for further information.
Recognition of externally acquired key competencies
Questions on the recognition of externally acquired key competencies – i.e. competencies acquired outside of the Leibniz University Hannover – are answered by the respective degree courses, using different procedures. Every application for recognition must be examined individually and be approved by the examinations board. If you have any questions relating to this procedure, please contact your Dean of Studies Office.
